Subject: [*] InputSprocket driver for SFXPlus

This is an Input Sprocket driver for SFXPlus ADB game
controllers. The SFXPlus came out for Macs with an ADB
port, and sold for a very very low price. But there
was no Input Sprocket driver for it, so you couldn't
use it for some games. Now there is. Just drop it in
your system folder.

You need a power macintosh and Input Sprocket 1.2 or
greater to use. You also need (Duh) an SFXPlus game
controller that uses your ADB port, NOT your USB port.

This is freeware. It can be included on any CD Rom and
distributed freely.

Any bug reports should be directed to me at:

Enjoy.

Subject: [*] InterestHC 1.01 / HyperCard stack, comprehensive interestcalculator

This HyperCard stack InterestHC by Oscar van Vlijmen is an accurate
calculator for many financial problems, including all compounding interest
problems, annuities (mortgages), gradient annuities, internal rate of
return and many more.

What can you do with this stack?
* Reduce an effective interest rate per year to the effective rate per
other period and vice versa.
* Annuity calculations: find the payments per period, or the principal sum,
or the interest rate, or the maturity.
* Produce a complete amortization scheme.
* Gradients: annuities in which the payment per period gets a certain
amount larger or a certain factor larger each period. For now only the
present value can be calculated.
* Compounded interest calculations: find future value, payment per period,
interest rate or number of periods.
* Single payment calculations: find future value, investment amount,
interest rate, number of periods.
* Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, Modified Internal Rate of
Return.
* Excel type financial functions: Present Value, Future Value, Payment,
Number of Periods,
* All six principal interest factors: CAF, CAF', PWF, PWF', SFF, CRF; for
discrete and continuous compounding/payment situations.

What is so special about this stack?
* No tables needed. This calculator does it all.
* Very accurate results. If needed, the number of decimals in the output
can be enlarged.
* All input and output is saved in a text field, from which you can select
or export to a text file.
* If you have the development environment of HyperCard or SuperCard, then
you can study and change all information and scripts yourself, nothing is
hidden or encrypted.

Freeware; not to be used for commercial applications; not on CD-ROM's.

Subject: [*] MacTidy v1.0b8: checks and corrects HTML and XML source

When editing HTML it's easy to make mistakes. Wouldn't it be nice if there
was a simple way to fix these mistakes automatically and tidy up sloppy
editing into nicely layed out markup? Well now there is! Dave Raggett's
HTML TIDY is a free utility for doing just that. It also works great on the
atrociously hard to read markup generated by specialized HTML editors and
conversion tools, and can help you identify where you need to pay further
attention on making your pages more accessible to people with disabilities.

Tidy is able to fix up a wide range of problems and to bring to your
attention things that you need to work on yourself. Each item found is
listed with the line number and column so that you can see where the
problem lies in your markup. Tidy won't generate a cleaned up version when
there are problems that it can't be sure of how to handle. These are logged
as "errors" rather than "warnings".

MacTidy is a standalone application for Mac OS designed to check and
correct HTML and XML source. It is based on the freely available "tidy"
program by Dave Raggett (<mailto:dsr@w3.org>), but has a graphical user
interface (GUI).

For more information on "tidy", visit the author's web site at
<http://www.w3.org/People/Raggett/tidy>

Visit <http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/1057/tidy.html> for the
latest version of MacTidy.

15 Jan 00: v1.0b8

Updated to latest "tidy" source of 13 Jan 00.

System Requirements: (Any Macintosh with a 68020 or better processor, any
version of System software (although it has NOT been tested on anything
earlier than 7.0).

Subject: [*] MacWasher 1.0.2

Many people do not realize that Internet browsers
(Internet Explorer, Netscape, NeoPlanet and America Online)
as well as many other software products store information about
what they have been doing on a computer system. This includes
which documents they have used, which pictures they have viewed,
which web sites they have visited, and various other activities
they have performed. Anyone can simply turn on your system and
see a history of what you have been doing on your computer.
Not only does this infringe on your privacy, but the tracks that
are left behind can take up large quantities of valuable hard drive
space. Recovering this space can be very beneficial by improving
the overall speed and performance of a computer. Cleaning up the
history of your activities can be a tedious chore of manually
removing each history file or entry. If privacy and disk space are
to be maintained, this process must be performed every time you use
your computer. MacWasher can automatically clean up your browser's
cache, cookies, history, recent document list, and much more!
MacWasher can run in the background and clean up your tracks when
you are done surfing the Internet or any other time you choose.

Pixel Spy is a simple utility which allows you to determine the magnitude of
the various color components which make up a color on the screen.
Specifically, you can select a pixel from the screen, and Pixel Spy will tell
you the RGB, HSV, CMY, indexed and hex code values for the color of that
pixel. You may also modify these displayed codes to manually change the
current color and use Pixel Spy to match the current color to one in a color
lookup table.

This update adds Photoshop CLUT support and improved color detection accuracy,
among other minor additions and fixes.
