NOSNEWS.zip contains the files from a Waffle NN style news reader
that is capable of reading news articles on a NOS stations that
is running the NNTP server code (the server code is only needed
because of the file structure it produces on you hard drive).
It will read the files off of your local hard drive.  You have to shell
from NOS, or run it in another window under Windows/Deskview/whatever.

I have semi configured it with instructions that you need to make
it work.  It has been tested with JNOS 11.08dfe,dff,dfg.
It's a heck of a lot better that the reader built into NOS.

The Files here were part of a software package called
UUFREE which is a person uucp software package.  (available from
ftp.supernet.ab.ca in  /pub/msdos/uufree the last verson was 
uufree06.zip,  also RUSNEWS was on an old simtel CD that I have).
With a little mods to NOS the two could easily be combined to
allow you to exchange mail and news, from NOS to UUCP sites and vice versa.
(that's kind of a hint if somebody wants a challenge.)
