IAB News We Can Use 6. Management Issues 6.1 RFC Editor Errata Reports (Russ Houlsey) The management issue was discussed. 6.2 xml submissions after draft approvals (Jari Arkko) The management issue was discussed. The IESG and RFC Editor discussed submission of XML source files to the RFC Editor after the document has been approved. It has been observed that authors sometimes make mistakes in this submission. The RFC Editor checks for surprising or substantial changes from the text version and asks for AD approval in AUTH48 if there are any. It was suggested that a policy might be implemented requiring the submission of exactly the same draft content as was approved. However, it was decided that its desirable to receive author contact information changes and other edits that are sometimes entered in this stage. The current systems appears to be working to catch inappropriate edits. 6.3 RFC3588 vendor-specific command codes (Dan Romascanu) The management issue was discussed. 6.4 Approval of IESG Policy on Autoresponse Messages Sent to IETF Mailing Lists (Chris Newman) The management issue was not discussed. Chris Newman requested this management issue be included on the agenda for the next teleconference (12/20/2007). 6.5 Date for the Last IESG Teleconference of the year (Dan Romascanu) The management issue was discussed. The IESG decided to change the date of the final teleconference for 2007 to December 20, 2007. 7.
