The IESG approved publication of UTF-8, a transformation format of ISO 10646 as a Draft Standard. Steve to send announcement. 4. The IESG tentatively approved publication of the following as INFORMATIONAL RFCs: o A Model for Presence and Instant Messaging o Instant Messaging / Presence Protocol Requirements The documents were originally submitted as Proposed Standards. Keith and Patrik to query the WG on their reaction to these being published as Informational. There were also some editorial nits identified that need to be incorporated. Steve to send announcement once notified by Keith and/or Patrik that all is well. 5. The IESG tentatively approved publication of Applicability Statement for HTTP State Management as a BCP. The IESG also approved publication of HTTP State Management Mechanism as a Proposed Standard. There were some changes to be made to draft-iesg-http-cookies that would be included as an RFC Editor note. Thomas to work with Keith. Once Thomas sends his ok, Steve to send announcement. 6. The IESG approved publication of Corrections to 'A syntax for describing media feature sets' as a Proposed Standard. Steve to send announcement. 7. The IESG approved publication of Calendar attributes for vCard and LDAP as a Proposed Standard. Steve to send announcement along with a RFC Editor note to remove section 1.2 prior to publication. 8. The IESG approved publication of OSPF for IPv6 as a Proposed Standard. Steve to send announcement. 9. The IESG had no problem with the publication of Hyper Text Caching Protocol (HTCP/0.0) as an Experimental Protocol. The IESG had no problem with the publication of Security Negotiation for WebNFS as an Informational RFC. Steve to notify RFC Editor. 22. The IESG approved publication of Long Thin Networks as an Informational RFC if the following is included as an RFC Editor note: Change text IPComp recommendation from Recommendation: IPComp may optionally be implemented.
