I reviewed the document "IETF Recommendations Regarding Active Queue Management" (draft-ietf-aqm-recommendation-08.txt) as part of the Operational directorate's ongoing effort to review all IETF documents being processed by the IESG.  These comments were written primarily for the benefit of the operational area directors.  Document editors and WG chairs should treat these comments just like any other last call comments.   Intended status: Best Current Practice Obsoletes: RFC 2309 Current draft status: Submitted to IESG for Publication   Summary: The document provides recommendations concerning measures to improve Internet performance as well as a strong recommendation for testing, standardization, and widespread deployment of active queue management (AQM) in network devices.   Being a BCP the document is well-written and ready for publication. I don't see any issues from the operations and management pov.   Minor issue: I support having an informational reference to AQM WG. Though current reference looks incomplete with “, .”. It would be interesting to have a link to the WG charter page, where other pages can be reached, e.g., if people are interested in reading AQM WG documents.   Mehmet
