This is intended as a brief description for the system mantainers'
archiving needs

===== FILE: vers100.lzh ======== created with lha 2.11, DOS version

"Vers" is a version updater: it changes the version number stored
in the first line of a file opening in read-write mode, to access
only the relevant line.

Vers is freeware. No request for registration is included, nor
resctrictions to its use.

Contents of the package:

err.c Error dispalying routine (used by vers)
err.h Header for err.c
vers.c Main source (ansi C) (compilable under unix, also)
vers.exe The DOS compiled version
vers.doc The manual (ascii text)
compatib.h Definitions to allow DOS-UNIX crossing of sources (as vers)
makefile That's for MS-make, I'm sorry, but it's briefest.

Where I'll store it (if it's worth :-)
   -utilities or
   -programmer or
   -fileutl

I'd appreciate comments from you, but I understand the hurrying involved
in your work, so I won't complain, anyway.
Final remark: I chose to upload this only to your site.

Cheers.
