Gee, Roger, you seem sort of upset. I've been using C/C++ 7 since it came
out, with nary a hiccup, and my project is a BIG one, a 100+ source file GIS,
with DLLs, using DDE and OLE. True, it's a bit annoying to have to edit and
compile in a DOS box, but I use a good professional programmer's editor, and
run on a 486-33 with 8 meg and a BIG hard drive.  I don't find MSC/C++ 7.0 all
that slow a compiler, either, esp. considering the good optimization. Maybe
what you really need to do is calm down, take a deep breath, and go take a
nice break, maybe with a bagel and cream cheese, and some coffee. Things will
look better, then, and you can concentrate on smoothing out your environment.
Ignore the PWB, buy a copy of Brief, and relax a bit.
Cheers,
