I'm conducting an informal survey and I have two basic questions:

1) What are you putting in the client area of your main window? For a text
editor the answer would be that you are drawing lines of text. Another
possibility would be a static set of controls (e.g. a listbox). But I'm
wondering if anyone out there is doing something more interesting
than that and, if so, how?

2) What API are you using? MS SDK? BC++/OWL? MS MFC? Win++? CViews?

I'll post results.
