Alstom's Citadis trams are made at three factories, one in La Rochelle in France, on in Barcelona and one in Konstal in Istanbul. The trams all look more or less the same, but as in Spain the Iberian broad gauge of 1668 mm is used, the Spanish Citadis trams are by far wider than anywhere else. Alstom Citadis has been a very successful tram type with over 2300 trams in use. Barcelona's Citadis trams are of the type Citadis 302, which has five sections and which is 100% low-floor. Barcelona has 18 of these trams which are 32 metres long.

The city of Bilbao in the north of Spain is the center of the Basque area of Spain. There is one tram line called Line A, in operation since 2002. It is operated by Euskotren Tranbia, which is also known by the marketing name EuskoTran. The same company operates trams also in Vitoria-Gasteiz. These trams are made by CAF and they belong to CAF's Urbos 1 family of trams. They were built 1999-2006 and they looked quite nice until they were totally spoiled by extremely ugly advertisement tapings which almost totally block the view from inside out.

The tramway of Sóller is a Spanish heritage tramway connecting the town of Sóller with the coastal harbour village of Port de Sóller, on the island of Mallorca. The line was opened in 1913 and the oldest tram wagon in use is from 1890. Most of the trams in use are from the time period of 1913 to 1937. This was their old catenary inspection and istallation vehicle.

Tram no.2 is one of the original trams of 1913 when the Sóller tramway was opened. The first three trams - and this was one of them - were built by Carde y Escoriaza using substructures of a Brill tram and electric systems from SSW.

Tranvia do Sóller trailer wagon no.7 was acquired in 1959 from the tramways of Bilbao. It was more modern than the others, it had a metal chassis.
