LIGHTNING STRIKE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 


May 5, 1996 -- Lightning Strike Version 1.7 is ready. 

 	v1.7 Supports using fixed palette on 256 color displays! 
 	Current file size: 1,337,435 
 	Contents: 16-bit plug-in, 32-bit plug-in, and small readme and examples. 
 	This is a self-extracting Windows executable. 
 	Lightning Strike Plug-in V1.7 release notes. 


Follow the directions below to get a copy of the Netscape Plug-In for Windows 
3.1/95/NT.

 	Download the Lightning Strike Netscape Plug-In. 
 	When prompted, select Save file to disk from the dialog box. 
 	Once the file has downloaded, execute the lstplug.exe 
 	Follow the on-screen prompts. 
 	Restart Netscape. 
 	Verify that the Lightning Strike plug-in is in place by typing 
about:plugins in the URL box. You should see image/cis-cod for a response if 
everything is all right. 
 	Set your Netscape disk cache to at least 1 megabyte. 
 	You are now ready to view the Lightning Strike images.
