Wisebot Pro Version 2.0(d).241 Wisebot is a Web development tool that will automatically create and maintain a Portal Interface to your Internet or Intranet site. The Portal Interface makes it easier for users to Navigate your content using a Site Map and Subject Index. This readme file provides information on the following topics: System requirements Reporting problems Known problems Changes since last release System Requirements To use Wisebot you must have the following: PC Running Windows 95, 98 or NT 32 MB RAM 5 MB free hard disk space. Special Notes: Internet Explorer (IE) is required if you would like to view Web pages Wisebot creates within the Internal Browsing Window. Newer versions of Windows come with IE bundled, so it is likely that it is installed on your PC even if you do not use it. If you do not have IE on your PC, you can view the Web pages in your default browser by manually loading the page from the Wisebot directory. Netscape Navigator 4.0 contains a security feature that will not allow you to view Java Applets from a local hard disk. You must upload these pages to a Web server and view them from the server. Wisebot's Index will only work properly English and French pages. Wisebot will install ODBC on your system if it is not already there. By default, Wisebot stores data into an Access database file. If you're using Wisebot Pro you have the option of using an ODBC-compliant database as well. This may result in improved performance on large sites. Note that Watchfire has not performed extensive testing on 3rd party databases. You can find more information about the tables that Wisebot creates in the 'Documentation' subdirectory where you installed the program. Customers cannot transmit Site Indexes or Site Maps in Java format via FTP. Customers should utilize the Delete function to remove scheduled items from the list. Dialup settings are not currently stored properly and need to be re-entered. Clients cannot print Java version of the Site Index or the Site Map.
