Speak Freely Version 6.0
Update release 6.0 

Notice: Speak Freely is still under active development; this is only the fifth
release. I've made every effort to debug the code and make it as portable as
possible but, as this program uses both multimedia and network services, two areas
in which an enormous variety of hardware and software drivers exist, it will take
some time to establish just how compatible this program is with the hardware it
encounters in the real world. It goes without saying that a just-released program
will have more bugs than mature software. If you try this software and see something
that looks wrong, please E-mail me a report. I may not be able to answer every
report, but I guarantee I'll try to fix every case of misbehaviour I can reproduce. 
There's nothing I can do, of course, if your network connection isn't sufficiently
fast and consistent, and/or your computer doesn't run fast enough to execute this
very demanding program in real time. Just in case I inadvertently broke something in
this latest release, executable and source distributions for all prior releases
remain available. 

If you're inspired to hack on the source code, be aware that it's likely to be in a
state of rapid flux in the near future as I respond to reports from users and
continue to cross items off the wish list that didn't make the cut for the first
release. If there's something you'd like to implement, why not check with me via
E-mail first to make sure we don't duplicate each other's efforts?
