France's Jean Todt enjoyed a successful career as a rally
co-driver from 1966 until 1981, helping Talbot to the
World Rally Championship constructors' title in his final
season.

Upon his retirement, Todt moved into the organisational
side of motorsport and is today recognised as one of the
greatest team managers in racing history .

As director of all motor sport activities for Peugeot from
1981, Todt masterminded the marques domination of
disciplines as diverse as international rallying,
long-distance desert events, and sportscar endurance
racing.

His record at Peugeot includes two World Rally
Championships, four wins in the epic Paris-Dakar desert
rally, and two victories in the Le Mans 24 Hours
accompanied by the World Sportscar title in 1992.

In 1992, Ferrari identified the methodical and unflappable
Frenchman as the man to guide the Prancing Horse back to
its winning ways. When Peugeot decided not to enter
Formula One with its own team in 1993, Todt accepted the
offer to join Maranello as Sporting Director.

His long-term approach to attracting the best talent to
the team and restructuring its operations has been a key
element in Ferrari's steady progress back to the top.
