After graduation from senior high-school,
Ukyo trained as a mechanic at the Tsukuba
Circuit in Japan. That was in 1982 and 
marked the start of his career in motor
racing which saw him switch to driving - 
taking class and championships in FJ 1600,
after winning his very first race from pole
position.

       both at Suzuka

       points, DNQ=2

1994 - 16 races (Tyrrell), 5 points, 17th

       European GP due to accident in
       Portuguese GP at the start.
